Ladies, maintaining your nails is honestly the best accessory since you just need to do them only about, once a week. When it comes to manicures you have to lose much pennies. But there’s reason why nail salon stay in business. Drawing nail art with a free hand is hard work. On top of that keeping the hand steady, having contort your hand to weird angles while drawing complicated designs which look bizarre when half finished. The struggle is real!

Although we can give them try and can paint your own beautiful nail art. Regardless of your skill level be it a beginner or the professional one, the below tutorial’s are worth for a try.

Nail art at home. It can be a total bummer sometimes.

We often see complicated and delicate tutorials of intricate designs and we often get put off by it. Ahead, we’ve gathered a handful of winter themed tutorial’s that you can practice through the New Year. Something a little simpler would draw people in. These tutorials are simple and can be done with the things you would find right at home. Give them a try; you may just surprise yourself.

1. Falling Snow | Paint – It Yourself

This nail art is super simple and is perfect choice for someone who is just starting out. You just need a sponge to do this super easy and fine nail art.

What You Will Need

  • Transparent Nail polish
  • White Nail polish
  • Sponge
  • Sparkle nail polish

How to Apply?

  • On Clean nails, apply a base coat of transparent nail polish.
  • Take a small piece of sponge and apply some white nail polish on it.
  • Tap it on the upper side, from the center and a little lower while leaving empty space at the corner on the cuticles.
  • After drying, Seal it with a sparkle nail polish coat and you are done!

2. Pale Pink Snowflakes | Winter Nail Art

Now that you’ve gotten the hang of doing nail polish with just some nail colors and sponge, It is the time to add some nail tools to this pretty picture! Be sure to invest in a striping brush before drawing slow flakes on each pinky nail. This is also an incredible simple nail art that you can easily do! It’s very cute and can be worn with a pretty sweater or a cute winter outfit.

What You Will Need

  • Pale pink nail polish
  • White nail polish
  • White glitter nail polish
  • White glitter
  • Nail striper or a very fine paint brush

How to Apply?

  • Apply a transparent nail polish base coat on every nail.
  • Paint the middle nail white and let it dry.
  • Apply the pale pink on all the other nails (Two coats needed).
  • Now paint white glitter nail polish over the white coated nail.
  • It is the time to draw snowflakes, Paint it on the ring finger using the striper brush.
  • Add small dots all over it and let it dry.
  • Finish the nail art with top coat, to protect your manicure from peeling and to keep it shiny and glossy.

3. Elegant Sparkly Winter Chanukah nail art

A simple yet elegant ombre nail art is waiting for you to try. It is perfect for any occasion in winter. So, read on to get this sparkly ombre nail art.

What You Will Need

  • Base coat
  • Ocean color nail polish
  • Sponge
  • Glitter

How to Apply?

  • Start by painting all your nails with the base coat or a transparent nail polish.
  • Once it is all dry apply the glittery boat paint on all the nails.
  • Now using a sponge and glitter puff the upper part of the nail gently and with light hand.
  • You can also apply latex on the cuticle side to get a finished look.
  • Complete the nail art with a top coat and there you are with an elegant nail art.

4. Needle Nail Art | Winter marble Nails

These fun patterns add a little something to your nails and are super-duper easy to do. You need a little patience for this one, but the outcome is worth it!

What You Will Need

  • Light blue Nail polish
  • Dark blue nail polish
  • White nail polish
  • Silver nail polish
  • Needle

How to Apply?

  • Apply the base coat to every nail
  • Paint one of the nail with light blue polish and don’t allow it to dry
  • Paint two dark blue lines over the wet base /you can use the sparkle blue nail polish/
  • Now paint a white strip in the middle with a silver strip on top of it
  • The fun part is here, Grab a needle and make cross marble patterns
  • Clear the edges using latex or nail polish remover and there you go!\

5. Christmas tree and slow flakes winter nail art

Ready to step up your nail art game? This next nail art honestly looks so pretty, I’m tempted to try it on my own nails so without further ado let’s get started.

What You Will Need

  • Pink nail polish
  • White nail polish
  • Latex or nail polish remover
  • Nail striper brush or a fine paint brush

How to Apply?

  • Apply a base coat to the clean nails
  • Start painting white nail polish on the ring finger
  • Now grab the pink nail polish and apply on all the other fingers
  • On the ring finger draw a triangle with pink nail polish
  • Paint the snowflakes carefully on all the fingers
  • Apply some polka dots on the nails and you are good to go!

6. Winter Wonderland DIY nails | Landscape nail tutorial

Okay, I know what you’re thinking. This may seem a little bit complicated but Here’s a wonderful DIY nail art to bring out the artist in you. Yes, you can create a really beautiful scenario on those tiny nails using just a paintbrush! The choice of colors for the mountain is all up to you!

What You Will Need

  • White nail polish
  • Grey nail polish
  • Black nail polish
  • A stiff and thin paint brush

How to Apply?

  • Paint all your nails with white as the base color.
  • Now comes the fun part. Find a stiff brush like shown in the video. Dip it in the black polish, and paint the mountains leaving the edge of the nails white.
  • Similarly repeat in with the grey mountains.
  • Splatter some white nail polish on the nails. By this time you should have a nice splatter nail art.
  • Seal it with a top coat.

7. Sweater nail art | Paint – it – yourself

Cuddle up with a warm cup of tea and those cozy sweater nails for a perfect holiday season. This DIY nail art tutorial will give you step by step guidance to knit your own unique holiday sweater pattern for your nails. This design is easy to replicate a sweater using only simple tools like a nail polish striping brush but the results are perfect for your next holiday party!

What You Will Need

  • Red nail polish
  • White nail polish
  • Nail polish stencil
  • Transparent nail polish

How to Apply?

  • Apply the base coat over the nails and paint the latex strip on the cuticles side to avoid the nail polish to spill out.
  • Paint the nails all red carefully.
  • Take a stencil and keep it carefully over the nails (The nails should be completely dry before placing the stencil).
  • Coat the stencil with white nail polish and carefully remove it after the paint is completely dry.
  • Paint snow trees with white nail polish and also add some polka dots.
  • Finish the whole thing with a final top coat. You are done.

8. Winter Icicle Glitter Nails | Free Hand Nail Art to do at Home

Let’s finish off the list with an amazing yet simple nail art, shall we? I love this one! Anything which has such an amazing outcome plus comes with a minimal effort is my Cup of tea. Tempted to try this out? Well let’s read it then.

What You Will Need

  • Blue nail polish.
  • White nail polish (Glitter).
  • Nail striper brush or a fine paint brush (stiff).
  • Latex or Nail polish remover.

How to Apply?

  • Apply the base coat over the nails and paint the latex strip on the cuticles side to avoid the nail polish to spill out.
  • Paint the nails all Blue carefully.
  • Take the nail polish striping brush and dip it in the white paint, Apply a smooth and thick mountain stripes on the edge taking it towards the end of the nail.
  • Let it dry and then finish off with a sealing top coat, carefully pull away the latex layer and there you are.
