Origami flowers can be really beautiful. They can also be really intricate. They make great gifts for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthdays etc. They can be used as decoration or ornament pieces during the holiday season. Origami flowers are a lot more affordable than real flowers and last a lot longer (however they don’t smell as sweet).
Things you will need-
- Origami paper
- Glue.
- Ruler and pencil.
- Scissors
Procedure –
Step 1 – Start with a 3 inch x 3 inch square (75mm x 75mm) origami paper.
Step 2 – Fold paper in half on both diagonal axis. Crease well and unfold.
Step 3 – Fold both tips to the center. Do the same with other tip also.
Step 4 – Fold both the top and bottom halves to the center again.
Do the same activity with other side also and it look like this.
Step 5 – Flip paper over. Fold the bottom half to the top.
Step 6 – You now need to place some glue on the color portion of the paper. Then fold paper in half to glue it together.
Step 7 – Now this completes one unit.
Step 8 – Repeat all the steps and make a total of 8 units.
Step 9 – Let’s first glue 2 units together. Place some glue on the color portion of the paper and glue the units together.
Finally glue the first and last unit together so that they form a circle.and your easy origami Yamaguchi dahlia is complete!
