Cardboard is a necessity for art. We need cardboard for so many art and craft art projects. So why not try something entirely out of cardboard. Cardboard is hard and sturdy material. It is very much useful in art and craft activities. I hope this segment is as much fun as it can be. So let us get started with these bulky sturdy looking chunks.

First of all make a template on a sheet of paper. Now take a cardboard sheet and mark the template. Now cut it out. Now paste this cardboard template on a coloured sheet. Now fold the sides and cut the squares from the corners. Now fold the outer edges. Then cut an ‘X’ in the inside and then fold it outwards and cut the excess sheet off. Paste the folded sheet. Make Jewellery Box from Cardboard

Let us make a beautiful heart shaped card from cardboard. First of all take a heart shape and mark it on the cardboard sheet, mark and cut two of the same kind, one for the lid and one for the base. Now cut out some strips of cardboard to make the height of the cardboard box. Now curve the strips and start securing them perpendicularly with the lower heart shape using the glue gun. Now use ribbons to stick the top heart with the lower strips. Now you can open and close the lid as you wish.

Now cover the whole box in beautiful paper. You can use the measurements of the cardboard. Use the glue generously. Now decorate the lid beautifully. You can use sequins and lace, or whatever you like to decorate the box. For better understanding of the process of the cardboard box look up:

Cardboard Castle DIY Art

Let us make a magnificent cardboard castle. Take some old foil rolls. Start with adjusting the height of the columns of the castle. Now cut windows out of it. Make the sills. Cut the base  of some rolls to fit in others. This increases the height of the columns and adds drama to the castle. This makes it multi stored and it gives it the feel of old English charms.

Now start with the front of the castles. Cut a front, draw in ridges and cut them at good angle. Cut a semicircular door for the castle. Make windows and windowsills. Make the sides and the back of the castle. Paint the cylinders and make top cones using a sheet of paper. Cut a semicircle of the perfect size and make a cone out of it. Take a big cardboard sheet and mark circles on it of different sizes. You can use different round things to make different sized circles. We are not using compass here because we do not want holes in the cardboard. Now cut these circles out. We are going to use silver filler paper to decorate the circles. Now crumple the filler paper. To paste this filler sheet we will employ tacky glue. Tacky glue is a good adhesive. Spread the glue on the cardboard circle using a brush. Now spread the filler sheet on top of the glue coat. Stretch the sheet out and cut off the excess material. Some beaded necklaces, in silver or golden to line the circumference of the circular piece.

Now make some diameters using these necklaces. You can design a square pieces to place at the middle of the big silver plate. Now paste some ice-cream sticks at the back of the big silver plates. You can use the normal sized ones or the big ones too. They are so pasted to create a distance between the artwork and the wall so that it does not get ruined in any way. Secure a hook at the back of the artwork on one of the ice-cream sticks. Make sure the hook does not come off. Once done with this step you can now hang your hard work in your living room.
