1. Paper Fidget Spinner

Things you need

  • Paper
  • Black marker
  • Bottle cap
  • Scissors
  • Toothpick
  • Felt sheet
  • Glue gun

Procedure

  • Take a sheet of paper, and using a marker trace the pattern of a fidget spinner by making circles using the bottle cap. Then cut out the shape using scissors, you will need to cut out three shapes of the spinner.
  • Now take the shapes and paste them onto one another, then refine the shape with a cutter or scissors if needed.
  • Make a hole in the centre and widen it using a toothpick, then leave the toothpick in place and cut off the excess toothpick.
  • Take another piece of paper, cut out two circles, and use them to cut out two felt circles.
  • Glue the two circles to the felt circles using a glue gun and on drying, take the felt pieces, and glue them on the toothpicks.
  • Now cut out six circles from paper and paste them on both sides of the fidget spinner. Line the side edges of the spinner using a marker and you are done.

2. Paper Pinwheel

Things You Need

  • A4 size color paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Wooden stick
  • Board pin

Procedure

  • Take a piece of colored paper, fold it diagonally to form a triangle, and cut off the remaining paper to get a square piece.
  • Fold it twice diagonally to form creases, and cut from the edges at the creases.
  • Now fold from around the edges cut out alternatively and fold them to form the crease , then , using a circle cut out glue the edges together to complete the pinwheel. Then fix the pinwheel with a board pin at the center.
  • Using the wooden stick fix the pinwheel on the stick. Your pinwheel is now complete.

3. Paper Emoji Card

Things you need

  • Paper
  • Marker
  • Paper clip
  • Sketch pens

Procedure

  • Take a square sheet of paper, fold it diagonally both sides to form creases. In addition, unfold back.
  • Fold the triangular sides inwards to form creases. Then unfold and form rectangular shape by folding two sides.
  • Then fold again to form a square (view the video). When folding the squares use a paper clip.
  • Using a marker make an emoji face of your choice, on the front, then make different emoji faces by changing the flaps at the sides.
  • Now if you flip the faces will rotate. Your emoji DIY card is now ready.

4. Paper Spinning Top

Things you need

  • Ball pen refill
  • Paper sheet
  • Glue gun
  • Tape
  • Scissors

Procedure

  • Take a sheet of paper, fold it into a pipe like roll, and tape the end and the whole sheet to hold the shape.
  • Start rolling the sheet inwards to form a circular roll, leave the middle with a small hole so that the refill can be placed through it later. Glue the end of the roll using a glue gun.
  • Tape the ball pen refill near the tip to increase the width of the refill to make it fit in the hole of the circular roll.
  • Cut off the excess taper using scissors, and glue gun the ball pen refill into place. You can also glue gun the sides of the paper roll to make it sturdier. Your spinning top is ready.

5. Paper Rocket Ship-Paper Toys For Kids

Things you need

  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Colored pens
  • Cardboard Tube
  • Colored paper
  • Plastic lid or compass

Procedure

  • Choose a sheet of paper of the color you like most, take a cardboard tube and move the tube along the paper to make marking lines.
  • Cut the paper in the direction of the marks, this is to make the paper to the length of the roll.
  • Wrap the paper around the tube and cut off the excess. Remove and apply glue around the borders and middle of the paper and paste it on the roll.
  • Taking another colored paper cut some paper strips and glue them on the base, around the middle, and top of the rocket.
  • Take a sheet of blue paper to draw windows on it, and then cut them out. Glue them to the body of the rocket.
    To make the rocket top use the plastic lid or a compass to trace a circle on a sheet of paper, cut it out and fold it in half. Cut it right in the middle and take one semicircle, glue the ends together to form a cone.
  • Cut four strips of paper, and glue them inside the tube. Fold the ends to the outside, apply glue on each one of them and connect it to the rocket top.
  • To finish it draw and cut some flames using red, orange and yellow papers, glue them onto the base of the rocket.

6. Paper Car

Things you need

  • Colored paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Sketch pens

Procedure

  • Take colored paper and cut out different shapes for the car, for tires, windows using scissors.
  • Paste the wheel cover on the body of the car first, then the windows of the car. Then the wheels.
  • Paste the parts of the car on to the body of the car and other parts into place. In addition, let it dry the car is now ready.
  • For the other design, the process is the same but you have to cut out different shapes to paste them together.
  • The glass part of the car is different and the body is different in this one, as the shapes are very abstract it is hard to cut them out without seeing them first so you will need to watch the video for the shapes.

7. Paper Wallet-Paper Toys For Kids

Things you need

  • A4 size colored paper

Procedure

  • Take a sheet of paper, fold it in half from the shorter sides, and make a crease. Open it up again and fold it one fourth, from both sides.
  • Then fold the one side half of the first crease at the end, and fold it inwards two times. Now flip it over and fold an inch of the side outwards. Repeat for the opposite side.
  • Fold the corners of the ends inwards of all four ends and Fold the paper inwards and lock the edges with one another so that it forms the basic wallet shape, between the two flaps.
  • Fold it side ways to give it the shape to fit into the pocket. Your wallet is now ready.
  • You can use a pattern paper if you want to give it some edge.

8. Paper Sunglasses

Things you need

  • Sheet of colored paper

Procedure

  • Our first fold is going to be lining up a corner diagonally with another corner and crease the fold. For the second fold we are going to fold the whole shape obtained in half, then obtain a crease, and open the whole paper.
  • The upward fold inside or valley fold will be re-folded again to make it smooth. This will form two overlapping triangles with the top few distances from one another. The back edge between the two triangles will help to fold it right before the triangle edges coming out. Then crease the back end down.
  • Now take the backside again and fold it over the crease towards the triangle edges. Then fold the edge again.
  • Now fold the edges of the triangle slightly to make the ends flat.
    To make a bend for the glass frame, we are going to use our fingers to hold back the paper in place from where you want to fold it, and then fold it to make the ends, which will rest on the ears.
  • Do this for both sides to finish your origami style sunglasses.
