1. Mini pallet coaster

Things You Need

  • 12 Ice cream Sticks
  • Ruler
  • Pens black and silver
  • Glue,
  • scissors

Procedure:

  • Take the ice cream sticks and mark off the round edges, to make sure they are of the same length use a ruler. Once the edges are marked off, you can cut the ends.
  • The next step is optional depending on what colour you would like your pallet coaster to be so you can use multiple colours or, to give it a wooden look you can use a bowl of coffee or tea freshly poured into a bowl and soak the sticks in it. Use a fork to hold them into place so that they do not float above the liquid.
  • Leave them in there for about five minutes and then let them out to dry completely.
So next, we have to take a hot glue gun and start laying out two opposite side sticks flat and the other two standing on sides and glued to form a complete square.
  • Now take another stick on its side and stick it in the middle of the square. To add the top of the coaster we take seven sticks across.
  • To make sure they are evenly spaced place the sticks at the ends first, leaving gaps to resemble palettes.
With a silver sketch pen, make two dots on the edges of the each stick at the top to make it look more like a real palette. The coaster in now done.

  • Once arranged take your glue gun and start filling in the gaps. Glue each button and try to even out the surface with layers of glue.
