Quilling Flower Cards – Part V

Paper Quilling is a sort of art that’s done by cutting paper into long, thin strips, then the paper strips are formed in several shapes by rolling and pinching the pieces, then adding glue to the shapes together which will make very decorative art. Paper Quilling is typically used for decorating cards, gift boxes, gift bags, picture frames, or making 3D stand-alone art pieces, which may make everybody in wonder. One of the advantages of doing this is often the expansion of concentration. You’ll calm your mind and deduct stress by doing this. Today you’re getting to learn a lavender flower card with a butterfly. Let’s begin!

How to Make Quilling Lavender Flowers Card with a Butterfly

Materials:

  1. Quilling strip
  2. Half of a sheet
  3. Quilling pen
  4. Circle sizer.
  5. Craft glue.
  6. Scissors.

Procedure:

The butterfly:

  • Take half of a sheet and place it on your desk.
  • Take a paper Quilling strip and a Quilling pen, roll the strip around the pen to quill it.
  • Pull it out from the pen.
  • Grab a circle Sizer, put the coil on a bigger number of the circle Sizer.
  • Put out the coil from the circle Sizer.
  • Pertain glue at the end of the coil to secure it.
  • After the coil is ready, pull the centre of the coil to one side and apply glue so that it stays there.
  • Slightly pinch the coil’s one side to give it a slight teardrop shape.
  • Apply glue on the outside of the coil.
  • Take a lighter colour longer strip and bind it over the teardrop.
  • After the binding is done, apply glue at the end of the strip to properly secure it.
  • Follow this process but make one size smaller teardrop.
  • Make two big and two small teardrops with this process.
  • Take another Quilling strip and the Quilling pen, roll the strip around the pen to quill it.
  • Pull it out from the pen.
  • Grab a circle Sizer, put the coil on a smaller number of the circle Sizer. It will be a tight coil.
  • Put out the coil from the circle Sizer.
  • Pertain glue at the end of the coil to secure it.
  • Take a brush’s bottom, put the tight coil on it.
  • Push the inside of the coil with the brush.
  • Use the paper Quilling pen also on the inside of the coil to give it a conical shape.
  • Apply glue on it and spread it with your fingers.
  • Repeat this process and make one more of this shape.
  • Take two conical shapes, apply glue on the bottom of the parts and stick them together.
  • Let’s assemble the butterfly now!
  • Place the conical shape and the big teardrop on the upside of the conical shape and the smaller teardrops on the bottom of the bigger ones.
  • The teardrops will be the wings of the butterfly.
  • Pertain glue to place them accordingly.
  • Take some small paper Quilling strips as the antenna of the butterfly.
  • Take the parts and apply glue and place on the top the conical shape.
  • Your butterfly will be ready!

Lavender flowers:

  • Take a 17 inches longer paper Quilling strip and a Quilling pen, roll the strip around the pen to quill it.
  • Pull it out from the pen.
  • Grab a circle Sizer, put the coil on a bigger number of the circle Sizer.
  • Put out the coil from the circle Sizer.
  • Pertain glue at the end of the coil to secure it.
  • Take a 13 inches longer paper Quilling strip and a Quilling pen, roll the strip around the pen to quill it.
  • Pull it out from the pen.
  • Grab a circle Sizer, put the coil on a less big number than the previous circle Sizer.
  • Put out the coil from the circle Sizer.
  • Pertain glue at the end of the coil to secure it.
  • Take a 10 inches longer paper Quilling strip and a Quilling pen, roll the strip around the pen to quill it.
  • Pull it out from the pen.
  • Grab a circle Sizer, put the coil on a less big number than the previous circle Sizer.
  • Put out the coil from the circle Sizer.
  • Pertain glue at the end of the coil to secure it.
  • Take 8 inches longer paper Quilling strip and a Quilling pen, roll the strip around the pen to quill it.
  • Pull it out from the pen.
  • Grab a circle Sizer, put the coil on a less big number than the previous circle Sizer.
  • Put out the coil from the circle Sizer.
  • Pertain glue at the end of the coil to secure it.
  • Take a 6 inches longer paper Quilling strip and a Quilling pen, roll the strip around the pen to quill it.
  • Pull it out from the pen.
  • Grab a circle Sizer, put the coil on a less big number than the previous circle Sizer.
  • Put out the coil from the circle Sizer.
  • Pertain glue at the end of the coil to secure it.
  • Take a 4 inches longer paper Quilling strip and a Quilling pen, roll the strip around the pen to Quill it. It will be the smallest coil.
  • Pull it out from the pen.
  • Grab a circle Sizer, put the coil on a less big number than the previous circle Sizer.
  • Put out the coil from the circle Sizer.
  • Pertain glue at the end of the coil to secure it.
  • Follow these steps and make one more of each size coil except the 4-inch coil.
  • Take the coil, give them a marquee shape by pinching on both sides.
  • This will be one bunch of lavender.
  • Follow these steps and make two more bunches. We will need a total of three bunches.
  • You must use different shades of the same colour.
  • Take a paper Quilling strip and cut it in half.
  • Take the paper sheet, and place the strip vertically on the paper by applying glue. It will be the stem of the lavender.
  • Take another stem of the lavender which will be shorter than the previous and glue it on the sheet.
  • Take the third stem of the lavender which will be shorter than the previous and glue it on the sheet.
  • Take a small piece of a strip and give it a curve with the Quilling pen and stick it next to the third stem with glue.
  • Place the first bunch of lavender size-wise and the small petal on the tip of the first stem and attach with glue.
  • Follow these for the next both bunches as well.
  • Make four marque coils as the leaves and place them on the stems with glue.
  • Your lavender flowers will be ready!

P.S- Place the butterfly you made previously on the top side of the flowers to make it look more designed.
