Quilling Flower Cards – Part IV

Paper quilling is a sort of art that’s done by cutting paper into long thin strips, then the paper strips are formed in several shapes by rolling and pinching the pieces, then adding glue to the shapes together which will make very decorative art.

Paper quilling is typically used for decorating cards, gift boxes, gift bags, picture frames, or making 3D stand-alone art pieces, which may make everybody in wonder. One of the advantages of doing this is often the expansion of concentration. you’ll calm your mind and deduct stress by doing this. Today you’re getting to learn some quilling flower cards. Let’s begin!

How to make a flower card shapes

Materials:

  • Quilling strips
  • Paper sheets( one fourth)
  • Quilling pen
  • Craft glue
  • Circle sizer.
  • A scissor

Procedure:

First flower card:

  • Take a quilling strip and one fourth of a paper sheet, place the sheet on your desk.
  • Take a quilling pen and the strip, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil. It will be a loose coil.
  • Take out the coil from the pen.
  • Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
  • Pull the coil out.
  • Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
  • After the coil is ready, pinch one side of it and then bend the tip of the pinched side. That will give a bend teardrop shape.
  • Follow these steps and make nine more. We will need a total ten of these teardrops.
  • Take another colour quilling strip, fold it asymmetrically.
  • Pertain glue on the end of this strip and attach the fold part.
  • Glue this strip to the paper sheet as a branch lifting like.
  • Take the teardrops, apply glue on them and add to two tops of the branches. Add five petals on each flower.
  • Your first flower card will be ready!

Second flower card:

  • Take a paper quilling strip and one fourth of a sheet, place the sheet horizontally on your desk.
  • Grab a quilling pen and the strip, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
  • Pull off the coil after rolling it.
  • Grab a circle sizer, put the coil into a middle shape circle and then roll it with your hands.
  • Pertain glue at the end of the strip to properly secure it.
  • After getting ready with the coil, Pull the centre down and pinch one side.
  • Grab the quilling pen, press it in the centre of the border side of the coil.
  • Look, it creates a Heart shape!
  • Give the heart a proper shape by using the quilling pen in it.
  • Follow these steps and make ten more. Use different colours. We will need a total of eleven heart shapes.
  • Take another colour strip, randomly cut it with scissors.
  • We will need a total of eleven of these cut outs.
  • Take the cut out strips, vertically glue them and attach to the paper sheet.
  • Place them by leaving space in between.
  • Take the heart shapes, glue them in the bottom of the strips.
  • Your second flower card shape will be ready!

Third flower card:

  • Take a quilling strip and one fourth of a paper sheet, place the sheet on your desk.
  • Take a quilling pen and the strip, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil. It will be a loose coil.
  • Take out the coil from the pen.
  • Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
  • Pull the coil out.
  • Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
  • Use the circle sizer and make nineteen more of these loose coils.
  • Use different colour strips and make different shapes of coils.
  • Take the craft glue and make an oval shape on the sheet like a balloon with it.
  • Put glue inside the shape as well.
  • Take the twenty loose coils and place them randomly in the glued area.
  • If there are any gaps, fill them up with some tight coils. Which you will make by using the same steps as the loose coils just you have to put the coil into the smallest circle shape in the circle cizer.
  • Take two paper quilling strips, place them vertically under the balloon as strings.
  • Cut the strips and make three strips.
  • Glue the strips a little above the end of each other.
  • Open the strings of the pieces with your hand and glue them to the sheet.
  • Give it more details by taking a small piece of a quilling strip and make a ring with it and attach in the middle of the three strings.
  • Your third flower card shape will be ready!
