Quilling Flower Cards – Part III

Today you are going to make some of the flower card shapes which are required for quilling.  Let’s begin!

How to make flower card shapes

Materials:

  • Quilling strips
  • Paper sheets
  • Quilling pen
  • Craft glue
  • Circle sizer.

Procedure:

First flower card shape:

  • Take a longer quilling strip and a paper sheet, place the sheet on your desk.
  • Take a quilling pen and the strip, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
  • Take out the coil from the pen.
  • Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
  • Pull the coil out.
  • Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
  • After the coil is ready, pinch a side of it and bend the tip of it that will make a bend teardrop shape.
  • Follow these steps and make one more of it. We will need two big bent teardrops.
  • Take half of a quilling strip and the quilling pen and the strip, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
  • Take out the coil from the pen.
  • Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
  • Pull the coil out.
  • Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
  • After the coil is ready, pinch a side of it and bend the tip of it that will make a bend teardrop shape.
  • Follow these steps and make one more of it. We will need two small bent teardrops.
  • Take another colour quilling strip and a quilling pen, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
  • Take out the coil from the pen.
  • Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
  • Pull the coil out.
  • Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
  • Pinch both sides of it that will give it a marquee shape. Bend the tip of the sides that will make a bend marque shape.
  • Follow these steps and make one more of it. We will need two marque shapes.
  • Take another colour quilling strip and a quilling pen, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
  • Take out the coil from the pen.
  • Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
  • Pull the coil out.
  • Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
  • We will need one of these coils.
  • Take another quilling strip, fold it into half from the middle.
  • Take a quilling pen, roll one side of the quilling strip inwards and release it halfway.
  • Quil the other side outwards, It should be a little closer to the midpoint of the strip than the other one. It will create a symmetrical V scroll.
  • Make sure the height of the scrolls are the same and use the quilling pen to give it more waves.
  • Apply glue in the middle of the scrolls to make them together.
  • Put the V scroll on the sheet and attach it with glue.
  • Put the marquis on the sides of the scroll-like leaves with glue.
  • Put the big teardrops over the scroll and the small teardrop over the big ones.
  • Secure them with glue.
  • Attach the circle coil on the top of the flower with glue.
  • Your first flower card shape will be ready!

Second flower card shape:

  • Take a longer quilling strip and a paper sheet, place the sheet on your desk.
  • Take a quilling pen and the strip, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
  • Take out the coil from the pen.
  • Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
  • Pull the coil out.
  • Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
  • After the coil is ready, pinch both sides of it that will give it a marquee shape.
  • Follow these steps and make four of them. We will need a total of five of the marque shapes.
  • Take half of another colour quilling strip and the quilling pen, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
  • Take out the coil from the pen.
  • Place the coil over a circle sizer’s smallest circle shape.
  • Pull the coil out.
  • Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it. It will be a tight coil.
  • Take another quilling strip and the pen and roll a part of it into the pen.
  • Leave the scroll in halfway, that will look like a C scroll.
  • Follow these steps and make one more of the C scroll.
  • Take the tight coil and place it over the paper sheet and attach it with glue.
  • Attach the marquis on the sides of the tight coil.
  • Take the C scroll and attach them between the up and down of the petals with glue.
  • Your second flower card shape will be formed!

Three flower card shape

  • Take a quilling strip and a paper sheet, place the sheet on your desk.
  • Take a quilling pen and the strip, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
  • Take out the coil from the pen.
  • Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
  • Pull the coil out.
  • Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
  • After the coil is ready, pinch one side of it that will make a teardrop shape.
  • Follow these steps and make three more. We will need a total of four of these teardrops.
  • Take another colour quilling strip and the quilling pe roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
  • Take out the coil from the pen.
  • Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
  • Pull the coil out.
  • Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
  • We will need one loose coil.
  • Take another colour quilling strip and the quilling pe roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
  • Take out the coil from the pen.
  • Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
  • Pull the coil out.
  • Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
  • After the coil is ready, pinch both sides of it. That will make a marquee shape.
  • Take a strip and attach it side on the paper sheet with glue.
  • Put the loose coil on the top of the stand and attach it with glue.
  • Attach the marques under the loose coil with glue.
  • Attach the marques on the bottom side of the stand.
  • Your third flower card shape will be ready!
