Quilling Flower Cards – Part II

Today you are going to make some of the flower card shapes which are required for quilling.  Let’s begin!

How to make flower card shapes

Materials:

  • Quilling strips
  • Paper sheets
  • Quilling pen
  • Craft glue
  • Circle sizer.

Procedure:

First flower card:

  • Take two quilling strips and a paper sheet, place the sheet on your desk.
  • Take a quilling pen and the strips, roll the strips around the quilling pen to make a coil.
  • Take out the coils from the pen.
  • Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
  • Pull the loose coils out.
  • Pertain glue on the coils ends to secure them.
  • After getting ready with the coil, pinch one side then give it a teardrop shape then bend the tip of them to make a bent teardrop shape.
  • Follow these steps and make two more of these bending teardrops. We will need a total of four of these.
  • Take another colour quilling strip and a quilling pen, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
  • Take out the coil from the pen.
  • Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
  • Pull the coil out.
  • Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
  • Pinch both sides of it that will give it a marquee shape.
  • Follow these steps and make one more of that marque. We will need a total of two of these.
  • Take another colour paper quilling strip.
  • Fold it symmetrically and place it over the paper sheet.
  • Glue the sides together and leave the above part making it look like branches then place it.
  • Take the teardrops and marques, place them on the sheet and attach with glue.
  • Place the two teardrops together and one marque over them. Place them over the branches you made previously.
  • Place this marque on a side of the branches that will look like a leaf.
  • Your first flower card shape will be formed!

Second flower card:

  • Take a quilling strip and a paper sheet, place the sheet on your desk.
  • Take a quilling pen and the strip, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
  • Take out the coil from the pen.
  • Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
  • Pull the coil out.
  • Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
  • After getting ready with the coil, pinch both sides of it that will make a marquee shape.
  • Follow these steps and make three of them. We will need a total of four of them.
  • Take a quilling strip and a quilling pen, roll the strip into the quilling pen.
  • Pull off the coil after rolling it.
  • Take a circle sizer, put the coil into a middle shape circle and then roll it with your hands.
  • Apply glue at the end of the strip to properly secure it.
  • After getting ready with the coil, pinch one side of the coil.
  • Hold two other sides of the coil and pinch, which will create a triangle shape.
  • Take another quilling strip, fold it into half from the middle.
  • Take a quilling pen, roll one side of the quilling strip inwards and release it halfway.
  • Quil the other side outwards, It should be a little closer to the midpoint of the strip than the other one. It will create a symmetrical V scroll.
  • Make sure the height of the scrolls are the same and use the quilling pen to give it more waves.
  • Apply glue in the middle of the scrolls to make them together.
  • Place the V scroll in the paper sheet with glue.
  • Take the triangle shape you made previously apply some glue on it then place it in the middle of the V scroll.
  • Take the marques and attach them around the triangle shape with glue.
  • Take a half paper quilling strip, fold it into half from the middle.
  • Take a quilling pen, roll one side of the quilling strip inwards and release it halfway.
  • Quil the other side outwards, It should be a little closer to the midpoint of the strip than the other one. It will create another symmetrical V scroll.
  • Place this small V scroll over the top of the flower with glue.
  • Your second flower card shape will be ready!

Third flower card:

  • Take a quilling strip and a paper sheet, place the sheet on your desk.
  • Take a quilling pen and the strip, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
  • Take out the coil from the pen.
  • Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
  • Pull the coil out.
  • Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
  • After getting ready with the coil, pinch one side and pinch another side close to that. Hold both points and pinch together. It will create a tulip shape.
  • Follow these steps and make two more tulip shapes. We will need a total of three of these.
Bend the tip of the sides that will make a bend marque shape.
  • Take another quilling strip, fold it into half from the middle.
  • Take a quilling pen, roll one side of the quilling strip inwards and release it halfway.
  • Quil the other side in the same offsets this previous one, It should be a little closer to the midpoint of the strip than the other one. It will create a symmetrical V scroll.
  • Make sure the height of the scrolls are not the same and use the quilling pen to give it more waves.
  • Take the V scroll and attach them with glue then place it on the paper sheet.
  • Take the tulip shapes and attach sides of a side of the V scroll.
  • Take the bend marque and put it on the other side of the scroll and attach it with glue.
  • Your third flower card shape will be ready!

These are some flower shapes of cards. Commemorate them and apply them to your work!
