Today you are going to make some of the flower card shapes which are required for quilling. Let’s begin!
How to make flower card shapes
Materials:
- Quilling strips
- Paper sheets
- Quilling pen
- Craft glue
- Circle sizer.
- A scissor
Procedure:
First flower card:
- Take a quilling strip and a paper sheet, place the sheet on your desk.
- Take a quilling pen and the strip, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
- Take out the coil from the pen.
- Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
- Pull the coil out.
- Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
- After getting ready with the coil, pinch one side and pinch another side close to that. Hold both points and pinch together. It will create a tulip shape.
- Take another colour quilling strip, fold the upper part of the strip a little to make a loop.
- Fold the middle of the loop.
- Remove the inner part to create a step.
- Apply glue under it and attach it like before. It will look like a branch of a flower.
- Take a quilling strip and a quilling pen, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
- Take out the coil from the pen.
- Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
- Pull the coil out.
- Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
- Pinch both sides of the coil and bend both of the tips as well that will give it a bent marque shape.
- Follow these steps and make one more bent marque, two more tulip shapes and two branches. We will need two bent marques, three tulip shapes and three branches.
- The branches need to be formed in different shapes.
- Put glue under the branches and place it over the paper sheet properly.
- Place bent marques on the sides of branches like leaves by attaching them with glue.
- Put the tulip shapes over the branches like flowers by attaching them with glue.
- Your first flower card will be ready!
Second flower card:
- Take a quilling strip and a paper sheet, place the sheet on your desk.
- Take a quilling pen and the strip, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
- Take out the coil from the pen.
- Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
- Pull the coil out.
- Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
- After the coil is ready, pinch one side and then pinch another side and simultaneously pinch other sides as well to make a diamond shape.
- Follow these steps and make another three petals. We will need a total of four of these petals.
- Take another colour quilling strip and a quilling pen, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
- Take out the coil from the pen.
- Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
- Pull the coil out.
- Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
- Pinch a side of it that will make a teardrop shape.
- Take a quilling strip, fold it into half from the middle.
- Take a quilling pen, roll one side of the quilling strip inwards and release it halfway.
- Quil the other side outwards, It should be a little closer to the midpoint of the strip than the other one. It will create a symmetrical V scroll.
- Put glue on the v scroll and attach it to the sheet.
- Attach the teardrop over the v scroll with glue.
- Attach the diamond-like shapes around the teardrop shape with glue.
- Your second flower card will be ready!
Third flower card:
- Take two same colour quilling strips and a paper sheet, place the sheet on your desk.
- Attach the strip’s end with glue to make a longer strip.
- Take a quilling pen and the strip, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
- Take out the coil from the pen.
- Place the coil over a circle sizer’s small circle shape.
- Pull the coil out.
- Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
- Take another quilling strip and a quilling pen, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
- Take out the coil from the pen.
- Place the coil over a circle sizer’s small circle shape.
- Pull the coil out.
- Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
- Follow these steps and make a total of three big coils and three small coils. We will need a total of four big coils and four small coils.
- Take a quilling strip and a quilling pen, roll the strip around the quilling pen to make a coil.
- Take out the coil from the pen.
- Place the coil over a circle sizer’s big circle shape.
- Pull the coil out.
- Pertain glue on the coil’s end to secure it.
- Pinch both sides of the coil and bend both of the tips as well that will give it a bent marque shape.
- Follow these steps and make two bent marques.
- Place the two bent marques in a ‘V’ shape with glue.
- Place a bent marque over the left side of the ‘V’ shape marques.
- Put the big and small coils over the right sides of the marque with glue.
- Your third flower card will be ready!
