Basic Flowers – Part I

Materials:

  1. Quilling pen.
  2. Circle sizer.
  3. Quilling strips.
  4. Craft Glue.

Procedure:

Tight coil flower:

  • Take a quilling strip and a quilling pen, roll the strip into the quilling pen.
  • Pull off the coil after rolling it.
  • Take a circle sizer, put the coil into the smallest shape circle as it will be a tight coil.
  • Apply glue at the end of the strip to properly secure it.
  • Follow these steps and make six more tight coils and among them, one will be a different colour.
  • After you are ready will all the tight coils, take craft glue and stick them around a different colour coil.
  • It will look like a flower.
  • The formed flower shape is called a Tight coil flower.

Loose coil flower:

  • Take a quilling strip and a quilling pen, roll the strip into the quilling pen.
  • Pull off the coil after rolling it.
  • Take a circle sizer, put the coil into a little bigger circle shape.
  • Apply glue at the end of the strip to properly secure it.
  • Follow these steps and make six more tight coils and one different colour coil.
  • After you are ready for all the coils, take craft glue and stick them around a different colour coil. It will look like a flower.
  • The formed flower shape is called the Loose coil flower.

Inward teardrop flower:

  • Take a quilling strip and a quilling pen, roll the strip into the quilling pen.
  • Pull off the coil after rolling it.
  • Take a circle sizer, put the coil into a little bigger circle shape.
  • Apply glue at the end of the strip to properly secure it.
  • Slowly pinch the coil on one side, which will form a teardrop.
  • Follow these steps and make five more teardrops.
  • Take a quilling strip and a quilling pen, roll the strip into the quilling pen.
  • Pull off the coil after rolling it.
  • Take a circle sizer, put the coil into the smallest shape circle as it will be a tight coil.
  • Apply glue at the end of the strip to properly secure it.
  • After being ready with all the coils, take the glue and apply glue on the sides of the teardrops and attach them. It will make a flower shape.
  • Take the tight coil and put it in the middle of the flower and attach it with glue.
  • The formed flower shape is called the Inward teardrop flower.

Outward teardrop flower:

  • Take a quilling strip and a quilling pen, roll the strip into the quilling pen.
  • Pull off the coil after rolling it.
  • Take a circle sizer, put the coil into a little bigger circle shape.
  • Apply glue at the end of the strip to properly secure it.
  • Slowly pinch the coil on one side, which will form a teardrop.
  • Follow these steps and make five more teardrops.
  • Take a quilling strip and a quilling pen, roll the strip into the quilling pen.
  • Pull off the coil after rolling it.
  • Take a circle sizer, put the coil into the smallest shape circle as it will be a tight coil.
  • Apply glue at the end of the strip to properly secure it.
  • After being ready with all the coils, take the glue and attach the teardrop sound to the tight coil.
  • The formed flower shape is called the Onward teardrop flower.

These are some basic flower shapes of quilling. Follow them and apply them to your work!
