How to Make a Paper Bear

Tutorial 1

Materials Required:

  1. Four thin white paper strips of dimension 2*30 cm
  2. A white paper of dimension 8*8 cm
  3. A white paper of dimension 9*9 cm
  4. Two white rectangular strips of dimension 2*30 cm
  5. A white rectangular strip of dimension 5*11 cm
  6. A white paper of dimension 9*10 cm
  7. A black marker
  8. A pink sketch-pen
  9. A pair of scissors
  10. A glue-stick

Procedure:

  1. Take four white paper strips of dimension 2*30 cm and fold it from the middle horizontally to develop a crease in all the strips.
  2. Glue the crease of one strip and paste the other crease, similarly paste all the strips along the crease.
  3. This will yield a star like skeleton, now glue all the tips, now fold the strips upwards as shown and paste one after the other to create a ball like structure.
  4. Take a white paper of dimension 8*8 cm and fold it into half and draw a bear’s feet on it with the help of a marker and then using a pair of scissors cut it out along the outline to yield two arms of the bear.
  5. Now define the paws with a black marker and stick them together using a glue stick and then again use glue to stick it to the ball previously made.
  6. Take a white paper of dimension 9*9 cm and fold it into half and draw a bear’s hands on it with the help of a marker and then using a pair of scissors cut it out along the outline to yield two arms of the bear.
  7. Now define the paws with a black marker and stick them together using a glue stick and then again use glue to stick it individually on the top of the ball created previously.
  8. Take two 2*30 cm color paper strips, apply glue on the tip of one and stick the other strip and fold it one after another in a crisscross pattern to form the desired design cut out the extra edges and then again secure the ends with glue.
  9. Now take a white rectangular strips of dimension 2*30 cm and fold it into a triangular shape and paste it to the neck of the bear using glue.
  10. Now take a white paper of dimension 9*9 cm and draw a bear’s face with the help of a black marker and then using a pair of scissors cut it out.
  11. To provide with the finishing touches take a black marker and draw the eyes, nose, smile and detail the ears of the bear.
  12. Now take a pink sketch pen to add some blush to the bear’s face and finally stick it to the triangular frame with glue.

Procedure:

  2. Take a white sheet of paper of dimension 6*14 cm, fold it into half vertically and then with the help of a black marker draw a U-shaped defined structure of legs as shown.
  3. With the help of a pair of scissors cut it out along the outline to yield the two pair of legs of the bear, now using a metal ruler fold the front edges of the bear’s feet.
  4. Using a glue-stick paste this spring like structure to the previously painted pair of legs of the bear.
  5. Take a white paper of dimension 6*8 cm and draw a basic bear’s face on it with the help of a black marker as shown and then cut it out using a pair of scissors.
  6. Using a black marker define the ears and make some more black spots on the face of the bear and also define the nose and mouth.
  7. Now, using a glue-stick paste the eye shaped beads in place.
  8. Take a white bit of paper of dimension 2.5*5 cm and fold it into a zig-zag pattern and then paste the cow’s head on this and then this entire thing to the bear’s body.

  2. Two white pieces of paper of dimension 7*10 cm
  3. White paper of dimension 6*7 cm
  4. Shimmer sticks
  5. A black marker
  6. A pair of scissors
  7. A glue stick

Procedure:

  1. Take a white sheet of paper of dimension 11*20 cm and fold it vertically along the width into half followed by two more consecutive vertical folds.
  2. Fold the upper flap backwards into half and the lower flap backwards into half again and then unfold to make a curvy pattern.
  3. Now according to the curvy creases fold the flap once forward and then backwards.
  4. Unfold and now fold the paper into half vertically along the length.
  5. With a black marker draw a curve as shown and with the help of a pair of scissors cut it out to make an oval shape for the body of the bear now again fold back and forth the paper along the crease to make the curvy pattern more prominent.
  6. Using a pointed tip make a small hold at the middle as shown and then insert a wooden stick now spread the paper along the stick.
  7. Take another white sheet of paper of dimension 7*10 cm fold it into half and draw a hand with a black marker, then with the help of a pair of scissors cut it out to yield the two arms of the bear.
  8. Now using a black marker draw the paws to give a detailing effect and using a glue stick paste the arms to the body of the bear.
  9. Take another piece of white sheet of dimension 7*10 cm, fold it into half and then with the help of the black marker draw a leg and using a pair of scissors cut it out to yield the two legs of the bear.
  10. Use a marker define the paws and then use a glue stick paste the two legs to the bear body.
  11. Now take another white sheet of dimension 6*7 cm, fold it into half and draw half face of a bear as shown then using a pair of scissors cut it out to yield a full bear face.
  12. Using a black marker draw the nose and two eyes to define the face of the bear and use a glue stick to paste it to the bear body.
  13. Take two shimmer sticks and fold it as shown and put it in the bear’s head.
