This double sided earrings\/ear jacket\/front back earrings\/back stud earrings, however, you call it has been the trend for quite a long time now. So I thought it will be interesting to try on how to make them. I am using some plastic from taking out container to make the back stud part but you can use any kind of material you think will be apt.(Share them in the comments if you have any). Now let\u2019s see how to make them.<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8419\" src=\"http:\/\/community.k4craft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"348\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.k4craft.com\/community\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-1.jpg 348w, https:\/\/www.k4craft.com\/community\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-1-163x300.jpg 163w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 348px) 100vw, 348px\" \/> <strong>Required Materials :<\/strong><br \/>\nSwarovski Crystals in different colors and sizes<br \/>\n(I am using 7.27mm diameter crystals for the earring post and 2.2mm diameter crystals for the fanned backing)<br \/>\nEarrings post &amp; Stopper<br \/>\nAwl<br \/>\nTweezer<br \/>\nE6000<br \/>\nToothpick<br \/>\nTake out box or any plastic container<br \/>\nPencil &amp; Ruler<br \/>\nScissors<br \/>\nXacto knife<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8420\" src=\"http:\/\/community.k4craft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"521\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.k4craft.com\/community\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.k4craft.com\/community\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-2-300x244.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/> Step 1: Use E6000 to glue a crystal to the earring post. Make sure you get the earring post slightly smaller than the crystal as shown below.<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8421\" src=\"http:\/\/community.k4craft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.k4craft.com\/community\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-3.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.k4craft.com\/community\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-3-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/> Step 2: To make the fanned backing, make a semi circle with 13mm as the radius. Draw the fan shape with 5 wings in the equal intervals as shown. 13 mm measurement is from the center dot and not from the edge. I came up with 13mm by measuring the distance from my ear piercing to the edge of my ear. Your measurement may vary which is why I did not upload this as a template. If you still need a template, you can just resize the below picture in any photo editing program according to the desired measurement and place a piece of paper on your computer\/laptop screen to trace the template. After making the template, trace it in the plastic using pen. (I am using an empty dates container here. Just go check your pantry, I\u2019m sure you will find a plastic container to reuse or get a take out container and use the center flat area for making earrings like this.)<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8422\" src=\"http:\/\/community.k4craft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.k4craft.com\/community\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-4.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.k4craft.com\/community\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-4-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/> Step 3: Cut the fanned backing using scissors and Xacto knife.Use an awl to make a hole in the fanned backing.The edges seem to be sharp but to be honest they aren\u2019t that sharp to hurt you or anything.It\u2019s better to round the edges if you are too much worried about the sharp edges.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8423\" src=\"http:\/\/community.k4craft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"425\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.k4craft.com\/community\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-5.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.k4craft.com\/community\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-5-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/> Step 4: Use a toothpick to apply glue to the small sized crystal and with the help of a tweezer place the crystal in each wing as shown.Allow it to dry.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8424\" src=\"http:\/\/community.k4craft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.k4craft.com\/community\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-6.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.k4craft.com\/community\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/double-sided-earrings-6-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/> Step 5: Ta da!! Your dazzling back stud earrings are now ready to wear. Wear your earring post first and before putting your stopper, insert the fanned backing and then your stopper. There are a lot of design ideas that you can make with this. Simply glue the crystals on to the piece of plastic in the desired pattern and trim the edges with a xacto knife once the glue dries.
