On Makar Sankranti we offer gifts and ornaments to the deities. A pooja is offered to God to seek the blessings for healthy life. Let us decorate the offerings we make to God. If you are going to offer a saree, open upto four folds of the saree, now make a triangular fold at the top edge of the saree, and let the beautiful borders of the saree show at the bottom. After folding up the saree, take some bangles and align them along the top triangle of the saree. Spread some yellow colored rangoli powder around the bangles. Add some more rangoli designs to the outer lining. Add some beautiful flowers to each of the bangles. Now keep all the material required for the pooja on the saree. The material must be meticulously kept in bowls and boxes. This looks pretty good.
